Driver CPC requirements state that you must undertake 35 hours of periodic training every five years to keep your Driver CPC licence and ensure your Driver Qualification Card remains valid.
The minimum length of a training course that contributes to the Periodic Training requirement is seven hours.
You can choose at what stage you do the training courses, so long as you complete the 35 hours by the end of the five years. So for instance you might choose to do one 7-hour course every five years to spread the cost and time off the job. Or you could save all five courses until the last year.
Holders of both LGV and PCV licences need only complete one set of Periodic Training every 5 years.
The good news is, there are no tests or exams involved. At Driveline we evaluate the training session to make sure you’ve gained knowledge and are more aware as a result of the course.
